Custom Contracting is a remodeling firm serving Arlington, Massachusetts and surrounding communities since 1990. By creating living areas that reflect individual personalities, their skilled and experienced team turns homeowners into loyal clients who return again and again.
Custom Contracting had completed beautiful projects and assembled a loyal customer base, but their previous website failed to showcase their success. They came to us for a fresh web presence that fully demonstrates their expertise and entices discerning new customers.
Logo rework
Our redesign started with a refresh to the logo to better appeal to modern audiences while retaining Custom Contracting’s brand recognition. We redrew the C-clamp of the original as a stylish vector inspired by vintage one-color line drawings and duplicated it to form the company’s initials. Our new mark can be used on its own or with the company name and slogan in various orientations, providing broad flexibility for print and digital applications.

Our primary website design goal was to create a sleek, modern site that feels approachable and confident. Pictures truly are worth 1,000 words for a high-end remodeling company, so we put Custom Contracting’s work front and center on the website. We feature large images throughout and kept the overall design clean and subtle to let the pictures speak for themselves. We also paired testimonials with project photos to further connect with potential clients.

We created a two-level portfolio system that presents individual rooms as standalone projects or as aspects of a larger build. This method lets us catalog the full breadth of Custom Contracting’s work in a format optimized to reach customers looking for anywhere from single-room projects to full home construction. Portfolio projects can also connect to ‘project spotlight’ blog posts, providing additional opportunities to establish trust while improving SEO.
