Gallagher Remodeling is an award-winning home renovation contractor providing design-build remodeling services in the Boston area.
Roger Gallagher approached us looking for a more modern website that better highlighted his company’s work and functioned better on mobile devices.
Website redesign
The content we were working with was precise and lent itself to a straightforward layout and easy browsing experience. We designed the site with a left sidebar for the main navigation and pages that aren’t weighed down by too many visuals and excess scrolling. To reinforce the brand, we used a serif font for headers, thin double lines around buttons for a high end touch, and incorporated the ‘g’ from their logo on every page as a design accent.
Focus on photography
Gallagher Remodeling does impeccable construction (and have the pictures to prove it), but their previous website did little to show off their work. Our redesign puts the photography front-and-center with a full-height homepage and a novel portfolio layout that immerses the visitors in Gallagher homes.
Website re-rebuild
Our website redesign for Gallagher Remodeling was among our very first sites. While we have always been pleased with the design, our original site relied on bloated themes and plugins that we have since replaced with higher-performance analogs.
We reached out to Roger to discuss the technological improvements we’ve made since building his initial site, and received his approval to “clone” our initial rebuild into our latest-and-greatest new systems. Our re-rebuilt site uses over 85% less code, loads in less than 20% of the time, and is much snappier throughout, fully realizing our intended user experience.
