A refined site for expert framers

For decades, Rockwell’s expert staff has provided high-quality custom art and framing design services to elevate and personalize their clients’ art. Rockwell wanted a new website that demonstrates their commitment to long-lasting custom relationships, showcases their team’s expertise, and easily directs customers to the most convenient location.

Our Approach

Spotlight on locations

Rockwell operates four locations in New Canaan, Wilton, Westport, and Fairfield, Connecticut. While they are unified in overall philosophy, each location operates relatively independently, with each location manager serving as a personal guide for their local clientele.

Our site features individual pages for each location both to introduce each location manager as well as optimize for location-specific search engine queries. These location pages include a bio for the manager, contact information for easy access, and manager-specific testimonials to establish trust. These pages are also capable of showcasing blog posts specific to each manager, further demonstrating their expertise.

Clean design

We sought to inhabit the mindset of a framer in our design, seeking to draw focus to the underlying content rather than distract from it with garish design flourishes. We applied their signature bright teal to highlight important CTAs and added deeper hues that evoke sophistication and luxury.

As a nod to their framing work, we use rectangular ‘frames’ on the buttons and blog cards, and incorporated their unique R logo as a sophisticated watermark. To complete the experience, we added scroll-triggered animations to elegantly present content to the user as they explore.

“Our website needed to be visually updated and easier to navigate. Katie and Mark were very professional and reliable. The new design beautifully represents our offerings, while making it more efficient for new clients to access the appropriate Rockwell gallery.”
